Abstract
En este articulo desarrollamos las claves de la concepcion del tiempo moderno en la teoria critica del capitalismo, siguiendo principalmente la lectura que Moishe Postone realiza de Marx. Segun esta interpretacion, la mercantilizacion del tiempo impone a la vida social una dinamica tautologica, no teleologica, que ha transformado historicamente la funcion del trabajo, que ya no es tanto una actividad creadora de riqueza material sino un “trabajar por trabajar”. Se sostiene que la mercantilizacion del tiempo es un eje fundamental en el surgimiento y desarrollo de las relaciones sociales capitalistas, y por tanto, una clave central para pensar criticamente su superacion.
