Abstract
The Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) reform bills were introduced to the 111th US Congress in 2010. The reform bills did not pass in this session, but discussions will continue and revised bills may be expected in 2011. This paper reviews the 2010 bills with specific attention to two sections, Expedited Action for Chemical Substance with documented Risks and Prohibition of Substances cited in International Agreements. A summary of their potential impact on Information Technology (IT) Products is provided. A brief overview of the method for review of legislation in order to determine impact on a product set and execution is presented.
