Abstract

AbstractIn systems‐of‐systems (SoS), trustworthiness is a key concern, which includes operational risks such as safety, security, and privacy. These are particularly challenging to achieve in an SoS, due to the shared responsibility among independent constituent systems. This paper investigates a unified approach based on systems thinking for analyzing risks in SoS. Having a common framework is important, since many risk areas are related and affect each other. The paper also discusses how traditional static risk analysis can be complemented by dynamic techniques that collect data over time to fuel SoS evolution with respect to risk reduction.
