Abstract

On November 23, 2016, it was 150 years since the promulgation of the Commercial Code of the Republic of Chile by President Jose Joaquin Perez, which became effective on January 1, 1867, exactly ten years after the Code Civil written by Andres Bello. To celebrate this sesquicentennial, various commemorative activities were organized, such as the preparation of a facsimile reprint of the Prince's edition of the Code, ordered to be composed by order of the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. As far as we know, of her and of the documented historical study composed to accompany her by Prof. Javier Barrientos Grandon, news has already been given in two reviews.
