Abstract

Abstract This textbook introduces many of the key concepts, practices and organizations that form modern tourism. It has 18 chapters organized in six sections with the following headings: (i) tourism perspectives; (ii) tourism people; (iii) consuming tourism; (iv) tourism management; (v) tourism development; and (vi) tourism futures. Each chapter concludes with a set of questions or suggested practical exercises that will help the reader to articulate and understand the material in each chapter.
