Abstract
This paper is an account of the 19th Biennial BDS Conference 2016, Site Tour 5. The BDS delegates visited the Stocks Reservoir in the Forest of Bowland and Lancaster Brewery. Stocks Reservoir is United Utilities fourth largest reservoir and has a 350 m long embankment dam with a maximum height of 31 m. Lancaster Brewery is one of the largest micro-breweries in the northwest of England.
