Abstract

Total Quality Management offers management philosophy, culture, methodology and proces of managing and realizing economic development for the country. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the impact of TQM practices on enterprises economic performance with respect to profitabality and productivity. Macedonia’s orientation to market economy, market liberalization, globalization and EUintegration develops a need of use of TQM system. The system is considered a contemporary form of quality administration in function of improving the competitiveness, efficiency, profitability and standards. The realization of the National Program on Quality, which includes necessary measures, terms and implementing agents by specific responsibility, will create real circumstances to speed up the processes of reaching a higher quality level of products that is in compliance with the criteria and standards of the developed countries. The implementation of a differentiation strategy that is focused on superior quality in all phases of the strategic management process comprises: analysis of external and internal factors from the aspect of the quality, considering the quality in the phase of strategy formulation, strategy implementation by leadership, culture and structure, and evaluation and control of performance from the point of view of level of satisfaction of the quality. Accepting ISO standards provides enterprises to be competitive on the European markets. The methods of analysis, deduction, induction, synthesis and comparative analysis will be used to justify the thesis of this paper. Statistical control of quality is based on defining the borders of tolerance of product quality.
