Abstract

Topoisomerase IIα (topo IIα) plays a role in DNA replication, is a marker of cell proliferation in breast cancer, and is a molecular target for multiple chemotherapeutic agents. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship between topo IIα expression on pathologic factors and outcome in patients with invasive breast cancer treated with mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
