Abstract

The relevance of the topic under study primarily affects the quality and standard of living of Kazakhstani society in conditions of crisis and uncertainty, where the food market and its provision is a priority task of the state. In the conditions of COVID – 19 the weaknesses of the domestic market and, first of all, the food market were revealed. Based on trends in 2022, the world market needs food supplies, including environmentally friendly and healthy food. Historically, our country is an agrarian country and has renewable resources for growing and processing agricultural products. The development of the agricultural sector will strengthen the state food system, create a basis for the country's food security and increase food exports to other countries, especially to border states where logistics have already been established.During the pandemic in April 2020, there was a record decline in oil prices due to the shutdown of many industrial complexes in all countries of the world. At the same time, the need for food has only increased. The tense geopolitical situation in the world, the introduction of tough sanctions against Russia, and the ban on the export of food products by Russia led to a situation of food shortages and a sharp increase in food inflation not only in developing countries but also in the EU countries. In conditions of uncertainty and risks, the priority for the state is to provide society with food to maintain an adequate standard of living and continuously improve the quality of life of the population of the country.
