Abstract
Since implementation of digital projects for transport infrastructure development has fragmental nature, some modern trends and promising directions for implementation of digital projects and introduction of modern high-performance information technology are defined in the paper. These trends and directions are determined on the basis of a thorough analysis of the concept of transport infrastructure from the point of view of modern legislation of the Russian Federation, management methodology in socioeconomic, logistics and engineering systems. The authors of the paper have considered some examples of successful digitalization projects in the field of road construction automation, intellectualization of the road economy when it comes to data exchange and traffic management. As a result, key priority of the digital projects implementation in transport industry is substantiated.
