Abstract

GFRP composites in engineering applications such as automotive, aircraft and manufacture of space ships and sea vehicles industries have been increased advantages over other materials. They provide high specific strength stiffness, superior corrosion resistance, light weight construction, low thermal conductivity, and high strength, ability to char and resistance to chemical and micro‐biological attacks. The main objective of the present work was to prepare GFRP‐Glass Fiber Reinforce Plastic (composite material) using a glass fiber with epoxy and hardener with help of Hand layup method which is one of the best economical methods of fabricating fiber based composites. The machining was done using vertical machining center on the composite using different drill bit materials such as High Speed Steel and Carbide. The parameters such as feed and spindle speed of the machine were varied in the present experimental work. After obtaining all the data, value are tabulated and graph are plotted accordingly.
