Abstract

Time is flying fast, and by now, we have passed all the major conferences of the Society for 2010. Thank you for taking part in these, and hope to see you around in 2011 as well. We are looking forward to an exciting new year. In addition to the various activities running, we are opening toward new challenges, such as the Student Reviewing Program. Our aim is to provide for students the services that make a difference, so if you have an idea of how we can do better, please let us know. To support our mentoring program, the Fostering Interaction Between Robotists and Students (FIBRS), we are publishing some guidelines for session chair aspirants; hope you will take your chance to get involved. There is always place for new enthusiastic people, and the board of the Student Activities Committee (SAC) is renewing every year, so you have the possibility to build your career within the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) as well.
