K'Meyer, Tracy E. K'Meyer Assistant Professor at Western Oregon University in Monmouth, Oregon, and is a member of the Popular Culture Association. She holds a Licenciatura in Translation from the Universidad de la Repäblica in Urguay, and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas in Austin. She is interested in detective fiction and in how it reflects the historical reality of the country in which it is published. Her publications include articles about European immigration to Spanish America, Spanish American women writers of detective fiction, and the hardboiled novel as a critique of the dictatorship in Argentina during the 1970s, as well as translations in literary anthologies.Search for more papers by this author Tracy E.
