Abstract
Abstract We report on diode-pumped continuous-wave Tm3+:CaLaGa3O7 lasers, for the first time to our knowledge. Maximum output powers of 176 mW, 148 mW and 102 mW are achieved at 1885 nm, 1913 nm and 1938 nm with slope efficiencies of about 2.3%, 1.8% and 1.1%, respectively. A wavelength tuning is also demonstrated with a range of about 101 nm via an intracavity undoped YAG etalon.
