Abstract

Motivation of II-IV year of study students of pedagogical specialties of non-physical culture profile to practicing sport and attending physical education classes has been considered. It has been revealed that the majority of students attends sports sections and some of them have sports categories. The goal of the majority of students of pedagogical specialties in sports has nothing to do with the achievements of high results, but is built on increasing physical fitness, achieving harmony in physique, gaining pleasure from motor activity and improving health. The motivation for attending physical education classes is formed in the overwhelming majority of students who do not allow themselves to miss classes without good reasons. The main objectives of the presence in the class are to understand the benefits, increase physical fitness and pass a test.
