Abstract

High mobility is one of the biggest motivations for contact lens wearers among office workers in DKI Jakarta and surrounding areas. Apart from being affordable and easy to use, contact lenses have additional value on the aesthetic side for most users, both from the types of contact lenses that vary in color, and for users who have a history of myopia or astigmatism, there is certainly no need to distract the surrounding because the thick glasses lenses that are considered to reduce aesthetic value are a thing that is not too worried about with the use of contact lenses. Although it has a high percentage as a sharp vision aid that is highly demanded by many people, it does not mean that users and/or potential users of contact lenses are well aware of how to properly care for contact lenses. Taking into account the background of contact lens users and/or potential users in terms of education, age range and financial condition, this study aims to improve the quality of contact lens care knowledge. This research was conducted using a qualitative method by filling out questionnaires about contact lens care knowledge to participants who have been determined. The results of this study indicate that the factors of age maturity, education level, income level and experience in working do not guarantee the knowledge of contact lens care.
