Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of physical fitness of South Kalimantan boxing athletes associated with the results of PON pre-qualification in Central Java. This research was conducted using correlation research. Based on the results, namely X1 with variable Y with Fcount (49.21) > Ftabel (5.99), the analysis results state Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. From the above calculations it is also known that tcount = 7.01. Next determine the price of ttabel. In this case the ttable price with dk N-2 = 8-2 = 6 at α = 0.05 is 1.94. Because the tcount (7.01) > ttable (1.94), it means that the regression equation Ŷ = 2.79 + 0.94X is significant. The rtabel price for α = 0.05 with N = 8 with free degrees or db = N - 2 = 8 - 2 = 6 obtained rtabel = 0.707. Because the price of rcount> rtabel, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship of 0.944 between physical fitness values and pre PON results. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination was calculated at 89%. This means that 89% of the pre PON results are determined by the physical fitness given through the regression equation Ŷ=2.79 + 0.94X. It is concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between physical fitness and pre PON results in South Kalimantan boxing athletes.
