Abstract
Abstract Radiation therapy as primary treatment for lymphosarcoma and giant follicle lymphoma in 62 patients was evaluated for the rate of recurrence in treated areas as the first manifestation of relapse. For lymphosarcoma, local recurrence was prevented by 3,500 rads tumor dose or more in four weeks. Giant follicle lymphoma did not recur after radiotherapy with more than 2,000 rads tumor dose in ten to twenty-one days. The five-year survival of lymphosarcoma patients was higher when treated with the higher dose of radiation.
