Abstract

Time effects in magnetic recording media are noticeable, particularly in tapes using CrO/sub 2/ particles. It is found that the time effects can be described by functions that are almost the same as ln t. The coefficient of the log term is studied for tapes with CrO/sub 2/ particles and with metallic particles as functions of magnetic field and temperature. The tapes are subjected to rotating magnetic fields before measuring the time effects.
