Abstract
It will be shown that it is possible to model a n-dimensional lattice of (chaotic) elements with the help of just one (chaotic) element and a Time-Delayed Map. This will be illustrated for a two-dimensional lattice of diffusively coupled elements and a model for excitable media. The latter turns out to exhibit BZ-like features.
