Abstract

The performance analysis of a slotted code division multiple access (CDMA) system operating in the outdoor mobile radio environment is presented. The performance is obtained by evaluating the throughput and delay of the system in both macro and micro radio channels. The influence of selection diversity on the performance parameters is studied. The results of the computations of the performance are discussed for various system configurations and different values of the system parameters. The number of resolvable paths and the number of users who share a frequency band are found to have a great effect on the performance.
