Abstract

The reduced spectra and sector distribution for the decay mode η→π+π-π0 have been calculated using a model in which thes-wave andp-wave pion-pion interactions are dominated by the contributions from the e and ρ mesons. These distributions are determined by a single parameter which also fixes the branching ratio R=Γ(η→π0π0 0/Γ(η→π0π+π-). A comparison with the predictions of other models for the pion-pion interaction emphasizes the need for improved experimental data which can distinguish nonlinear effects.
