Abstract

The problem of bound-state poles is investigated for the pion-pion interaction in the framework of the Bethe-Salpeter theory. For vanishing energy and small coupling constant, there are no poles on the physical sheet of the four-dimensional angular momentum plane, whereas there is a pair of poles on the first unphysical sheet.
