Abstract
The synthesis of 2-(3-(4-(dimethylamino)phenyl)-2-oxoindolin-3-yl)-1 H-indene-1,3(2 H)-diones as new unsymmetrical oxindoles via a Friedel–Crafts type three-component reaction of 1,3-indandion, N, N-dimethylaniline and isatins in ethanol in the presence of LiClO 4 is reported.
