Abstract

Objective To investigate three ways to excision of ovarian endometriomas on ovarian function. Metmds A retrospective study on 78 women with ovarian endometriomas. A group:26 patients had received a laparoscopic cystectomy; B group:26 patients had undergone an open cystectomy; C group:26patients had been treated with ultrasound-guided interventional treatment of ovarian endometriomas.Numbers of antral follicles. FSH. LH and E2 were tested for tree times :before the operation. The second and sixth month after the operation. Results Numbers of antral follicles in the A and B group were significant fewer than the C group( P<0.05 ).There was no difference in the dosage and duration of FSH application between laparoscopic and open cystectomy group(P>0.05 ), but the dosage and duration of follicle-stimalating hormone( FSH ) application in the laparoscopic and open cystectomy groups were significantly increased than in the C group ( P< 0.05 ).Conclusion Both laparoscopic and open cystectomy of ovarian endometriomas may cause damage to ovarian function Key words: Ovarian endometriomas; Ovarian function; Ultrasound-guided interventional treatment; Ovarian cystectomy
