Abstract

AbstractTen compounds, including three new bioflavonoids (1–3) and seven known compounds (4–10), were identified in the ethyl acetate fraction of the 85 % ethanol extract of Selaginella delicatula. The structures of the new compounds were determined through spectroscopic data analysis, and their absolute configurations were established using circular dichroism (CD). All the isolated compounds were tested for their antiproliferative effects on MCF‐7, HepG2, and HEK 293T cells. Compounds 1 and 5 exhibited significant cytotoxicity against MCF‐7 cells, effectively inhibiting their proliferation. Meanwhile, compounds 1, 2, 5, and 7 respectively exhibited strong inhibitory effects on HepG2 cells. Furthermore, when we combined the IC50 values of compounds 3, 5, and 7 on HEK 293T cells, we discovered that they selectively inhibited cell growth.
