Abstract

Vortex states of icosahedral superconducting wire network are investigated by the de Gennes–Alexander theory. We obtained the magnetic field dependence of the transition temperature and fluxon arrangements in the network. Fluxon arrangements of icosahedral network have some different symmetry related to directions of the applied fields. In a magnetic field parallel to the fivefold rotational symmetry axis, we found that the order parameter vanishes at the central nodal point along the field axis. In a magnetic field parallel to the threefold rotational symmetry axis, anti-fluxon can appear at the central triangular loop.
