Abstract
Some thoracic wall defects represent serious consequences of early amnionic rupture. In most cases abortion, stillbirth, or early neonatal death results from such deformities. Two infants with thoracic wall defects and limb reduction anomalies, one dying before operation and the other undergoing surgical correction, are reported. Specific findings in these cases, therapy, a review of the literature, and clues for early diagnostic and prognostic judgment of such complex deformities are discussed.
