September 01 2014 Thinking and Writing About Bodies Patricia Hoffbauer Patricia Hoffbauer Patricia Hoffbauer, a Brazilian-born dance artist with an eighteen-year artistic collaboration with writer/performer George Emilio Sanchez, has been making her own work since the late 1980s. Her writing has been published by Movement Research Performance Journal, Writings on Dance (Australia), and as part of Talking Vision Book, edited by Ella Shohat. She is a founding member of Yvonne Rainer's “The Raindears.” Hoffbauer has taught at Marymount Manhattan College, Pratt Institute, Sarah Lawrence College, Yale University, and is currently teaching at Hunter College's Dance Program and Princeton University's Lewis Arts Center.
