Abstract

This a review of the monograph “Thermoelastic state of multilayered pavements”, which presents the results of a computer analysis of stress-strain states of multilayered bituminous concrete pavements under the influence of transport loads with regard to seasonal and daily changes in ambient temperature. Based on the finite element model of pressure-heated deformation of coatings, we studied the mechanical behavior of the systems under consideration under various design schemes, loading conditions, the presence of cracks and concrete segregation, as well as rod and mesh reinforcement. The effects of stress concentration in the system due to high-gradient temperature fields and structural imperfections of the multilayered pavement are identified.
