Abstract
Chemical potential, pressure, and internal energy of a degenerate electron gas on the ground Landau level are calculated in a magnetic field taking into account temperature corrections. The heat capacity and entropy of a one-dimensional electron gas are calculated in the same approximation with the use of these results. It is demonstrated that the influence of the magnetic field on the pressure of the electron component in neutron stars and white dwarfs can be neglected in the examined approach.
