Abstract

In this study, Cu-13.5Al-4Ni shape memory alloy (mass %) was tested. The alloy samples, at different pressures, were aged for an equal period of 5 min. The physical properties of Cu-13.5Al-4Ni alloy samples aged for an equal period were investigated. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) was used to investigate the impact on thermodynamic parameters. The differential thermal analysis (TG/DTA) measurements were made to obtain the ordered-disordered phase transformations from room temperature to 1200 °C. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and optic microscope observation were used to examine the microstructure. Microhardness measurements were performed on alloy samples aged for an equal period. The physical properties of the samples aged at different pressures for an equal period were compared to the measurement results of the homogenous sample.
