Abstract

Experiments are described in which pure resistance networks were used to determine, by analogy, the temperature and stress distributions in a long tube whose cross-section had a rectangular outer boundary and a central circular hole. It is shown that the electrical analogy method is valuable for the solution of thermal stress problems and requires only a moderate amount of work.
