Abstract
Measurements of the time dependence of magnetization at various reversing fields and remanence coercivity in Tb/sub x/(Fe/sub 90/Co/sub 10/)/sub 100-x/ films (x = 13 /spl sim/ 31) where the compensation composition is x = 22.5, indicate that the thermal stability in transition metal-rich films is better than that in the rare earth-rich ones. There seems to be a difference in (K/sub u/V/k/sub B/T) between the TM-rich and RE-rich compositions.
