Abstract

The paper deals with a thermal model of a battery pack made of a phase-change material. The model is based on the finite element method and is created in the Ansys software. The performed simulations with different discharge cycles indicate that maximum temperatures are lower compared to a battery pack made of an ordinary material without a possibility of phase change.
