Abstract

The multi-physical and multi-phased industrial process simulations for aluminium processes have many benefits which become clear by exploring what is actually happening during the process. For numerical simulations of continuous and semi-continuous material processes (i.e., casting…), to account for continuous thermal energy input (melt flow) and output (thermal dissipation, cooling, radiation…), a thermal balanced technique is developed. In the research work herein, the continuous melt flow (and thermal energy input) is simulated using novel evolving domain technique where stepwise layers of numerical grid are added to existing domain considering dynamic boundary changes and special new thermal energy distribution technique
