Abstract

The effects of seeds on the lead zirconate titanate (PZT) powders fabricated by sol–gel processing were studied by thermal analysis and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). A low-temperature phase transformation of 450 °C from pyrochlore (Py) to perovskite (Pe) was observed. The mechanism involved in the phase transformation was analyzed using activation energies evaluated.
