Abstract

Abstract In this column, two therapists share their experiences and perceptions of working with sex offenders. The therapists use both group and individual treatment modalities and have a combined experience of over twenty years in sex offender treatment and group therapy. Both therapists reflect on what they believe are important elements in working with this population, how their professional and personal lives have been impacted by their work with adult and juvenile sex offenders, and how they continue their work without “burn out.”
