As the number of breast cancer survivors increases, long-term sequelae of radiation raise an important concern. Early therapeutic intervention may reverse radiation-induced fibrosis (RIF). TCM has been shown as a promising tool to measure soft tissue compliance but has not been validated in female breast tissue. Prior to embarking on measuring fibrosis in patients with breast cancer with TCM, we validate this tool in healthy volunteers with regard to inter-observer and intra-observer variability.
