Abstract

In this paper, fracture theory of quasicrystalline material is presented, concerning with linear, nonlinear and dynamic fracture problems for different quasicrystal systems observed to date. Main attention is however paid to three-dimensional icosahedral quasicrystals and two-dimensional decagonal quasicrystals, which play the central role in the new kind of materials. Relevant experimental results are also discussed.
