Abstract

He posits that if nursing theory is not the basis for one's practice, then nursing theory is extremely unlikely to arise from that practice. Reflecting on the historical vicissitudes of nursing theory-guided practice, Dr. Cody proposes that the nursing theory-guided practice movement constitutes an unfinished revolution that may yet transform healthcare for the betterment of humankind.
