Abstract

We give three elementary definitions of a game of pursuit and evasion in a large class of metric spaces. Our definitions are independent of the theory of differential games. We prove that the three definitions yield the same value of the game, and we study this value as a function of the initial positions of the players and their velocities. Several open problems are stated.
