Abstract

Political violence is a complex global phenomenon with political, economic, social, cultural and psychological dimensions, familiar to all human societies, to varying degrees and in different forms, with overlapping causes that differ according to the nature of societies, cultures and historical stages. In such cases, political violence can be committed by individuals against the state. Or others, and by a group against other groups in society, or by the state at the internal or external level. Given that political violence is a dynamic phenomenon, many ideas and theories emerged that tried to draw the necessary mechanisms and methods to contain and deal with it, in a way that reduces its size and repercussions, which threaten political stability and development, and which can be applied to the case of Iraq, especially since its theorists believed that political violence may be Sometimes a historical inevitability.
