Abstract

Fiber chromatic dispersion in optical OFDM transmission degrades carrier orthogonality, resulting in system penalty. Such penalty can be mitigated by per-carrier delay precompensation and spectrum filtering. Theoretical and experimental results show both methods restore performance without overhead or guard interval.
