Abstract
There are many theoretical evaluation methods for the remaining strength of corroded pipelines. In this paper, we focus on seawater pipelines with corrosion defects, and various theoretical evaluation results under different pipeline parameters and corrosion defect conditions were compared and analyzed by using commonly used theoretical evaluation methods. Meanwhile, the changes in corrosion defect length were studied, and the results of theoretical evaluation methods were compared with those of finite element methods. The use of evaluation methods for the remaining strength of corroded pipelines has certain practical significance.
