Abstract

In a sports world where the trend to obtain high performance by any means is increasing, the National Anti-Doping Agency assumes an active role in initiating and developing educational programs aimed to prevent doping substances use. The educational programs can achieve their purpose only by learning the mechanisms underlying athletes’ trend to consume these substances and by proposing coherent and consistent solutions in order to prevent the occurrence of such behaviors. In this paper, we intend to emphasize the research methodology applied by ANAD in order to establish the pattern of risk factors on doping substances use in athletes.
