Abstract

In this paper, a spliced composite slim beam (SCS beam) is proposed, and its flexural properties are analyzed based on ABAQUS. In order to ensure the reliability of the finite element model (FE model), the results of the FE model of composite flat beam with deep deck (CF beam) and the experiment are compared and show a good agreement. Based on the verified model, the flexural properties of SCS beam and CF beam with different steel strengths and concrete strengths are compared and analyzed, and the conclusions that SCS beam has better flexural properties than CF beam, which provides a reference for the design and optimization of SCS beam.
