Abstract

The formation of the Soviet cultural space is shown through the enlightenment of the masses. The scientific novelty of the study lies in identifying the specifics of the educational activities of Irkutsk institutions in the context of the socio-cultural development of Siberia. The author's use of materials from the newspaper press of the period under study and archival data makes it possible to introduce rich factual material into scientific circulation. The work has an interdisciplinary character. Theatrical education is defined as an important mechanism for reflecting unity and involvement in the ongoing revolutionary processes in the minds of people. The creative process was under the control of the state authorities. The scale and forms of education in Irkutsk, the practice of educational experiments is analyzed, the features of the repertoire of theater institutions are revealed.
