Abstract
The product from the reaction of carbon disulphide and the cyclic phosphorane from diacetyl and trimethyl phosphite is identified, principally by a direct two-dimensional X-ray determination, as 3,6-bis-2-oxobut-3-ylidene-1,2,4,5-tetrathiin (I).
