There are presently in this village no parentally arranged marriages. The use of marriage as an opportunity to ask for presents has rapidly decreased, and the old matchmakers have lost their position in the village. The majority understand the good points of free marriage and late marriage. New democratic and harmonious households have appeared in large numbers. The remaining influences of feudal and capitalist customs are being wiped out, and new socialist practices are developing on a wide scale. The masses have responded to the party's concern for them, and are even more actively participating in collective labor. This has greatly advanced the development of the collective economy.
